LPGA Players Eye Record $4 Million Prize in CME Globe Tour Championship - From Korda to Ciganda, Anyone Can Win
The LPGA Tour's season finale, the CME Group Tour Championship at Tiburon Golf Club, offers the largest winner's check in women's golf history. The tournament features 60 qualified players competing in a 72-hole no-cut event for an $11 million total prize purse.
Despite dominating the 2024 season with seven victories and securing Player of the Year honors, World No.1 Nelly Korda must win this event to be crowned Race To CME Globe champion. Unlike the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup, all players start at even par, giving everyone from Korda to 60th-ranked Carlota Ciganda an equal chance at victory.

The winner will receive $4 million - surpassing the 2024 US Women's Open champion's prize by $1.6 million. Last year's champion Amy Yang claimed $2 million for her victory, while Lydia Ko won the 2022 edition wire-to-wire.

Korda remains focused on finishing strong, stating: "I'm just proud of everything that I've overcome this year... no matter how I finish this week, I'm going to be proud of the season."
