NCAA champion Adela Cernousek has announced her decision to turn professional, with her sights set on earning an LPGA Tour card through the final stage of Q-Series.

The French golfer, who claimed the individual title at the NCAA Division I Championship in May, made her announcement via Instagram after initially indicating she would return to Texas A&M for her senior year.

Cernousek's college career highlights include:

  • Individual NCAA Division I Championship victory (beating Lottie Woad by three shots)
  • School record scoring average of 69.94 in junior year
  • First female player at Texas A&M to average under 71
  • Represented France in the 2023 Women's World Amateur Team Championship
  • Member of the International team at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup

Her decision to turn professional follows fellow college players Zoe Campos (UCLA) and Julia Lopez Ramirez (Mississippi State), who also advanced to the final stage of LPGA Tour Q-Series. Two other qualifiers, Catie Craig and Caroline Canales, will retain amateur status but can compete on the Epson Tour in 2025.

This transition comes as the LPGA prepares to launch a women's version of PGA Tour University, creating new pathways for amateur and college golfers to enter professional golf.
