Marcelo Rozo secured a three-shot victory at the Second Stage of Korn Ferry Tour Q-School, earning crucial tour status for 2024 in an emotional triumph.

The 35-year-old Colombian, who finished 128th on the 2024 Korn Ferry Points list and lost his status, shot an impressive 23-under to win by three shots over Zack Fischer. This victory guarantees him eight Korn Ferry Tour starts in 2024.
In a tearful post-round interview, Rozo expressed gratitude to his support system: "My wife is my rock. She is the rock of my house... my kid, I do it for them." He revealed that friends had helped him financially to enter Q-School, as he couldn't afford the entry fees and had to work between First and Second Stages.
This victory holds special significance for Rozo, who has made 124 career Korn Ferry Tour starts and previously finished runner-up to Scottie Scheffler in a playoff at the 2019 NV5 Invitational. Recently obtaining his real estate license for supplemental income, he now has a secure place to compete next year.

Looking ahead, Rozo will compete in the Final Stage in mid-December, where five PGA Tour cards (and ties) are available. "It means the world that I have a place to go next year," Rozo said. "But it also helps me getting a lot of confidence for Final Stage."
