Anthony Kim made his first professional cut in 12 years at the International Series Qatar, marking a significant milestone in his comeback to professional golf. Currently sitting at one under par after rounds of 71-72, Kim finished two strokes above the cut line.

The 39-year-old, who recently joined LIV Golf as a wildcard player, showed promise early in his second round, reaching three under through seven holes before three bogeys made things challenging. However, he secured his spot for the weekend with a crucial birdie on the final hole.

Kim expressed confidence in his progression, stating he's "ahead of schedule" in his comeback despite being away from competitive golf for 12 years. "I 100% believe in myself, and I think it's just a matter of time," Kim told Gulf News regarding his ability to contend in tournaments again.

The former PGA Tour star emphasized the significance of his journey, noting that he "had maybe two months of golf" before starting in Saudi Arabia after his extended break. He's now approaching his preparation more professionally than in his younger days.

Tournament Update:

  • Peter Uihlein leads at -12 after two rounds
  • Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen remain in contention
  • Event is the penultimate stop in the International Series
  • Winner of the overall standings earns a spot in the 2025 LIV Golf League
